How to get to Pavlovsk from St. Petersburg
Catherine II was an avid hunter, and she liked the pine forest of Pavlovskoye Selo very much. At the end of the XVIII century, the empress gave these lands to her son Paul, who renamed the country retreat and gave it the status of a city.
